speaking anecdotally, I invite fewer of my friends to FC now than I did a year or two ago. Still unpacking the reasons / thoughts behind that but curious if others feel the same.

I couldn’t get any of them to stick. They felt invisible. But maybe it was just bad timing when the algo was really mean to new folks.

do you remember what kinds of things they were casting about? was it channels where there just wasn't a critical mass of interested people?

They were trying their best. I made new accounts to test alongside them and I saw the same thing. I didn’t blame them for giving up.
