users will complain about posting content on a platform that gets engagement primarily from "bots", yet will brag about how many mints their NFT got in a campaign minted primarily by "bots" so bots are good if giving $$, but bad if giving replies?? to quote @geoffgolberg, "the cognitive dissonance is strong here" :)

This is why follower counts on Farcaster have always felt really vapid to me. Sure, I have 24k followers, but my engaged audience is probably closer to like 1 or 2k.

I think this is universal across all social media platforms though. An influencer with 1-2 million followers would be lucky to get 1% engagement from their followers. I bet that most of the engagement comes from one off interactions because those platforms have much better virality and sharing mechanics built in.

1k-2k is being really generous with myself lol. Pretty much the same feeling. But that could also just be the most engaged part of my audience. Idk.
