I’ve been asked to do an on-site work trial

They mentioned that they’re gonna want me to provide high-level detailed strategy documents 

That seems fishy to me 

What does a “healthy” work trial look like?

This feels like getting paid in exposure. Do you own the work? Are you getting paid?

Feels like free strategy consulting unless I’m misunderstanding.

Then my question for you would be if you don’t actually end up working there and you did all that strategy work for the amount of money they’re paying you ,would you feel like you were compensated correctly or do you feel like this should be a consulting job instead?

I am getting paid in money, but it’s the strategy part that’s worrying me
