I am pausing my activity on Warpcast for the foreseeable future due to the current issue with large number of bots.

Recent posts over the past few months have received hundreds of likes and recasts coming mostly from bots.

There is zero chance that bot activity is worse on Warpcast than X. We're just so accustomed to it there that we've trained our muscles to tune it out. 

Whatever's happening with @zachxbt seems specific to him and maybe (?) some other highly visible names. 

Sucks that this is the case for someone we'd like to be here, but I also think he's seeing a narrow instantiation of the experience.

I suddenly saw an influx yesterday. It was old accounts that have been silent commenting on old threads. But I only had a handful and I block and mute them aggressively.  I think the spam filters are a little too aggressive some days and these accounts slipped through the cracks by being quiet for so long. I hope it’s a one time thing.

It's an endless tug and pull of too much spam, too much restriction on spam - I really don't envy the WC team on this specific topic.

On the plus side, WC will have innovated some of the most sophisticated curation mechanisms in the next few years. I trust them to hit the mark as much as any team out there.
