So channel memberships didn't go exactly as planned. I've spent the last 10 hours testing the current moderation set ups and tools on my 13 channels and here are my initial impressions (a thread)...

Hypersub and Hyperbot. If you own a hypersub or have a community gated by one, this should be your first choice.

Watch the tutorial below. You need to add your channel to the Hypersub website and invite the bot for this to work. If people aren't getting the invites, you may need to issue grants to all current subscribers. You can grant them 0.01 time (aka 7.5 hours) to force the invites to trigger.  You can't put that amount into the pop up, but you can copy and paste it! This does cost a transaction but thanks goodness for base and 1 cent gas.  The bot will revoke membership when the subscription ends. 

My channels /pichi and /anime-manga are gated this way.

you can sync the channel member list with the subscriber list by issuing a small grant in hypersub. go to dashboard > grants > create grant and paste in .01

that will trigger the hyperbot to send out invites to anyone who isn't already a member
