So channel memberships didn't go exactly as planned. I've spent the last 10 hours testing the current moderation set ups and tools on my 13 channels and here are my initial impressions (a thread)...

Warpcast said anyone who had a cast curated into the Main feed since June would automatically be added into channels. That was a lie. Or a bug. I don't know. I can't post in /warpcast anymore to ask. So now most channel owners are scrambling to figure out a solution. I've tried most of the tools that went live today.

Hypersub and Hyperbot. If you own a hypersub or have a community gated by one, this should be your first choice. Watch the tutorial below. You need to add your channel to the Hypersub website and invite the bot for this to work. If people aren't getting the invites, you may need to issue grants to all current subscribers. You can grant them 0.01 time (aka 7.5 hours) to force the invites to trigger. You can't put that amount into the pop up, but you can copy and paste it! This does cost a transaction but thanks goodness for base and 1 cent gas. The bot will revoke membership when the subscription ends. ModBot.sh is a clone of Automod. If you used Automod before, you should switch to this. This will let you add all kind of rules, NFT gates, use FarScores, OpenRank, etc. You have SO many options here it may get overwhelming, but its worth playing with and gives you the most options. I've gated my channel /animeoutcasts this way. If you own one my of anime pfps from the collection, you can cast. Works great for channels focused around projects. You can also stack Hypersubs (since they are NFT contracts) and FanTokens (since they are contracts) if you don't want to choose.

Moxie Fan Tokens Since the Airstack team had moderation tools in place, this was by far the easiest and least buggy transition. You set it up from Airstack.xyz , add @notabot and choose how many tokens to cast. I set up /moxietools this way and like it so much I started the FT Auction for my other Moxie related channel /moxiemaxi Since FanTokens give partial ownership and reward people for their in engagement in the channel, this can be a great way for everyone to win. When you launch a channel token, you can set up to 40,000 tokens so the initial buy in can be very small. You can also set the amount by fractions. You decide. As far as my other channels, there will be a mix of FanTokens launching and testing other tools as they come online. I will eventually have FanTokens for all channels I host because I believe in the power of shared ownership. I am not sure if they all need to be gated by those tokens, but I am willing to keep experimenting. /farcasterunion will be the exception. A friend is building a new moderation tool and I want to be the beta tester, so invites for this channel may take a but longer. Don't worry, I avidly check "Show More Replies" Most of my community has been labeled as spam so I'm used to checking. Other channels that are TBD and will change often as new mod tools come online are: /momiji /sakura /nftrees /kyoto /tokyotravel /migraine Follow them if you want to see my experiments in real time.

I also tried Cura on my channel /stolen but it's way more high touch that I'd like to deal with right now. I decided to make the channel open after playing with it for a few hours. If you want to curate who is in your channel, review applications, and pick and choose who can join, this is the tool for you. Thanks for sharing Pichi. 150 $degen I understood the half as i am using warpcast as a social media platform mainly , but I aggre with you that a lot didn’t go as planned. I usually upload content when I have time and most of the times I don’t know how to navigate my self in some parts of warpcast world ,as web3 is new to me . I don’t know what to do as my all feed is “disappeared” . But I wish I can build my profile again with the “new” warpcast.☺️
