Should you comment on a cast that shows up in your home feed? ➔ Do you follow each other? -Yes ➔ Comment away (you can’t get a spam label commenting on mutual follow’s casts) - No ➔ Next Question ➔ Is the cast in a channel? - Yes ➔ Comment Away (you can’t get a spam label commenting inside or channels) - No ➔ Just like and move on* *if the caster consistently engages with most comments on their casts, comment once and see how it goes…if they don’t like or comment back, stop interacting with them or you could get a spam label ➔ Do you have something meaningful, funny, or supportive to say? - Yes ➔ Go for it! - No ➔ Just like and move on. ➔ Is your comment kind and respectful? - Yes ➔ Go for it! - No ➔ Stop. Edit yourself first. Does this make sense? Should this be an infographic?

This is helpful for newbies who didn't know they're labelled as spam. Sadly this is how the algo works, it's hurting growth and engagement. We all just want to interact with content we're interested in, "spam" or not

One issue that I have recently observed is the statistics of likes and engagement. Either the number of active users has decreased or the amount of engagement has decreased. Have you noticed this too?

This is good advice but I'm always replying to everyone I knew and to casts worth replying into even though we don't follow each other whether it's within a channel or not. I hope that won't be a reason for me to get a spam label though. I just love vibin with everyone

This makes a lot of sense honestly. Having a simple flowchart like this would help so many people new to Farcaster figure out how to not get accidentally flagged. This should be one of the onboarding processes. Thank you for this piece.

I do all this and still end up in spam (for the second time) And btw sometimes people don’t reply to comments…. Should i still engage their post when they don’t reply?
