Honestly, the new channel changes are genius. There’s a huge spam problem on Farcaster and a lot of it is from reply engagement farming and extremely low effort replies. The Farcaster team has now put the responsibility on us as channel host to filter our own spam. If our channels are full of spam it’s our fault because we invited the spammers. Don’t invite spammers into your channel. If your home feed is full of spam it’s because you’re following the wrong people. Unfollow them and use the button that says “show fewer like this” on your home feed to clean it up. When channel changes go into effect, if a channel is full of spam, complain to the host and have them kick out the spammers, and if the host does nothing move on to another channel. If your own casts are getting spammed, mute and block all the spammers. In a few weeks the spam problem should be completely resolved. Right? Changing the way channels work is a fascinating experiment to force social behavior to change for the better.

The new channel changes on Farcaster do seem like a clever approach to managing spam and promoting better user behavior. By putting the responsibility on channel hosts, it creates a more self-regulating environment where people are accountable for their own spaces. It's an interesting shift from centralized moderation to community-driven quality control. The idea of cleaning up your feed by unfollowing and using filtering tools gives users a lot more power to shape their experience, which could lead to higher-quality interactions over time. Forcing social behavior to improve through structure is a bold experiment, and if successful, could really set a precedent for how other platforms handle similar issues. It’s a way of encouraging people to actively engage in curating the spaces they're part of.

I don’t think this is your intention, but I need to be honest. This reads like the ChatGPT bots that summarize my own words and tag on a random question at the end. I get casts like this all day and ignore them. If you are a non native English speaker using ChatGPT, treat carefully. This is indistinguishable from automated accounts and looks like spam.
