don't have a problem with this ideology in theory. 

but in practice, 9/10 people who take advantage of/abuse others in this space *today* are doing this under the veil of anonymity. this is from personal experience. to me that's starting to generalise, which is why I'll start posting about it

Yeah. I’m a big fan of “need to know” here. I’m reasonably open about who I am, but there’s aspects of my life that I leave offline and I really want it to stay that way.
