My last apartment was great, except for poor natural lighting in the living room and kitchen. I wonder if I could deploy a satellite to orbit with a mirror equipped to solve this.

There’s a company named Reflect Orbital that is actually working on this: https://www.reflectorbital.com/ Idk at what stage of the development process they are though. The major intended use case for this is apparently to enable solar farms to produce energy at night when demand is high.

Maybe try it with a small mirror first and make sure you have a fire extinguisher ready at all times.
