What’s the checks and balances system for channel mods on Farcaster?

We’ve seen that be a problem with Reddit

On-chain channel governance?? 😏 

Otherwise some channels are bound to have the same fate with power hungry mods

But anyone can create a new channel, so users can vote with their feet

The difference is that there is only one way to access Reddit. Channels are based on FIP-2, which is a protocol level feature. This should encourage more competition via client diversity.

The reality is once a channel cements a big enough following it’s going to be hard to get people to migrate
