Most people think about life as a series of jobs. 

You work here and there. Maybe you stay with one employer for a long time. 

I much prefer to think about life in terms of projects. 

What do I want to achieve, and who do I need to surround myself with to accomplish that goal?

Life is like a big long game.

Downgrading it to a set of jobs isn't the best idea.

IMHO, It's actually a series of what keeps you busy (either chosen by you or a pre-determined one).

With that in mind, I align with your narration of life more than a "series of jobs" fwiw.

find a happy mand and you will find a bunch of projects.

I always worked as a freelancer so for me this was always the mindset since the beginning. I can't put on my mind going to work for the same person and have the same vicious relationship for decades. This is not for me at all. People that don't have a problem with that are lucky ones.
