Real-life example over here, we are finding it difficult to adjust to the fuel subsidy removal. Everyone is feeling the "pang"; one impact of the removal is a high food inflation rate of about 32.6%.

The government fixes the price of gasoline below the international price and pays for the difference. Last year, the government stopped subsidising fuel (removed subsidy). Fuel that was selling for 140 NGN/ltr now goes for about 700 NGN/ltr.
