Significantly worse or nonexistent @ampsfun solves a problem I’ve personally experienced: how to get distribution for important announcements on Farcaster. Since there isn’t a native advertising model, there are no alternatives. Better yet, it improves the existing ad model by helping users who have built followings get paid for their distribution. If you’re working on something and want to maximize the number of people on FC who see it, send me a message and I’ll add you to the @ampsfun beta.

This kind of thing was inevitable in this space I imagine, paid advertisement & such. It’ll always be more accessible & effective for those with the highest budgets for it. One thing I’d like to see emerge in this space though, is something like what I’ve seen the Formless team do with the SHARE protocol (not on FC or inactive; cc: @brandontory). As a creative/music artist with a limited budget, what would entice me more is something like what they were able to do, creating a rev share model & opportunity that encouraged users to join the splits & share the music/art on their socials to further amplify its earning potential, where all the early supporters could win & eat off of the improved distribution. It has a few more friction points on traditional socials, but I do hope they choose to bring it to FC as a mini app on here which would have a significantly more seamless experience.
