I made my first prediction on Polymarket today and the entire narrative of it hiding crypto and being A++ UX is just not at all true. It took me about 40m to get USDC on Polygon and then POL so I could send it. I eventually just gave up and a friend sent me $20 in POL.

to be honest, i've had such bad experiences building on polygon over the years that i totally jumped ship once the first l2 launched and i wasn't locked in their ecosystem when i needed cheap evm blockspace

i feel you, i had great experience in 21-22, but not later on. the only thing that stills on polygon is https://mito.io/ but because it's on pause since last cycle and with plans to now move it to base sometime soon
