I made my first prediction on Polymarket today and the entire narrative of it hiding crypto and being A++ UX is just not at all true. It took me about 40m to get USDC on Polygon and then POL so I could send it. I eventually just gave up and a friend sent me $20 in POL.

MATIC is now called POL. They upgraded it and I believe it requires the user to do something to migrate to it.

to be honest, i've had such bad experiences building on polygon over the years that i totally jumped ship once the first l2 launched and i wasn't locked in their ecosystem when i needed cheap evm blockspace
