This seems like a design space that @daylightcomputer is well positioned for—I heard about this last year but didn't seem that convinced at the time that they could pull it off

Hardware is just one piece of the puzzle, having a reliable OS that is constantly maintained and updated (esp for a unique device like this) is a bigger task

I like minimal smooth designs, but this isn't it for me

After using the reMarkable tablet, I really love the way these feel. Would be incredibly interesting to see a phone use eInk, that battery would be amazing.
