Purple’s goal is to proliferate and expand the Farcaster protocol and ecosystem.

I’m a bit confused about the funding request for FarCon.

I would love to support the conference, but it’s unclear how the money will be used. 

Is it for venue costs? Hackathon prizes? What is the bit about travel and childcare? 

I would suggest including more detail and reapplying.

farcon is rapidly evolving as we try to accommodate the 800+ applications we have received and curate an experience that will achieve the goal of convening, connecting, and celebrating the farcaster ecosystem. 

nearly impossible to nail down specifics rn and imo ineffective use of time when other prios at stake.

Agree. Would be better to segment costs, and potentially run two separate props.

The split is confusing. 

I just read it as: we need 10ETH to make swag, and subsidize travel and healthcare to a few select attendees.

Of course you'll be trusting them on the selection process, but hey until there's a mechanism for trustless entities, no better way.
