We need to create better ways to curate and search information. Google isn’t personalized enough and people don’t want to give more data to Google. Social is often a good heuristic for information discovery (ie. filtering search to your following on Twitter) but is limited in search space. Anyone working on this?

I mean, Tiktok is certainly working on this.

In this "capture all eyeballs" world they just want you to open up "The App" and search.

Honestly not sure a more decentralized approach is better.

TikTok for sure is working on this but I think it’s fundamentally a misguided direction because the incentives are misaligned. It’s optimized for entertainment/views not knowledge discovery or learning. So only way to do this is through self-hosting and/or decentralization.
