Okay, where’s the physical place to be in 2023 for tech communities? I like nyc but haven’t really interacted with any tech community outside of my school friends. I grew up in Singapore where there was a pretty vibrant tech scene, and curious about sf these days and if it’s still worth living there. Also, Miami?

It’s a pain in the ass to build anything on top of Twitter or Instagram. On the other hand, we’re already seeing a rich ecosystem of high quality apps being released for Farcaster. This is a great example of decentralization leading to better UX. Hackable/open > closed ecosystems any day.

The public notebook (“evergreen note”, “commonplace notebook”, etc. ) style of hosting ideas has been getting some traction recently. I like it, and think it’s superior to blogs in some way. But how am I supposed to keep track of so many un-indexable and distributed notebooks? I need to build an aggregator.

I’m a big fan of personal websites. It’s a good way to keep updated with people asynchronously on a deeper level than social media and it can also be quite a creative medium. Who has interesting personal websites that everyone should know about?

The NFT integration here is definitely underrated. I just followed everyone who owns a planet on Urbit, for example. Could be cool to have feeds based on NFT ownership. It sucks that my v2 planet won’t show up here though.

Is my google search result deteriorating because of less tracking that Google is doing on me as a result of better privacy features on iOS? I honestly couldn’t tell how well google knows me at this point.
