Experiment: Hiding power badges Power badges will be hidden on Warpcast for a week. Weโre running this experiment because: 1. New user find it hard to get follows due to โpower badge biasโ 2. Power badge isnโt being used much in Warpcast anymore.

Once upon a time, a power badge was needed to show up in conversations. That's no longer the case - Warpcast uses machine learning to find low quality content and move it into "Show more" It's good for users because the machine learning models a lot more accurate than the power badge was.

It doesn't make sense to keep showing the power badge if its not being used by Warpcast, which is why we want to test this change. Power badge data will still be available to Dune, Neynar etc while the experiment is running.

If users are happy with the outcome, power badge might: 1. become a developer-only thing 2. be removed entirely we'll discuss this after the week is over. the change should be rolling out today.

If you go with power badges removed entirely, please give a huge lead time on that since we gate all bounties posted by power badge users (or manual review) ๐
