From NFTs to nifties

Most people think NFTs are expensive jpegs. But you can now send millions of NFTs for a few bucks rather than buying one NFT for a few million bucks.

That means NFTs will be as common as likes or RTs. So we need a term for these free, nontransferable, earned NFTs.

Perhaps we call them nifties.

“Collect is the new like” is a great blog post title.

The concept of a “collect” as a noun also has legs. Shorter than collectible. Similar to “like” as a noun.
