Everytime I get excited about NFTs (as they exist currently) I come back to the blackpill that the only thing that is onchain is the metadata and most of the actual NFT content is just hosted on S3 buckets

Agreed. And if you look at NFTs as media storage, then yeah, not that exciting.
But as the infrastructure for tradable assets and digital products, that's the big unlock.

Those services are definitely in the right direction, but still not completely censorship resistant as far as I know?
