We have entered an era where the value of art is determined by its ability to spread. Its worth stems from how extensively it is discussed, written about, and shared. As a work circulates more broadly, its value inevitably increases The true worth is merely a mirage, shaped by popular opinion rather than genuine merit

Iβm not an artist so forgive me But how would you define genuine merit? It seems to me that the popularity of a piece will, at least in some part, be a reflection of how much people enjoy it?

I believe that the genuine merit of an artwork can vary significantly and manifest in many forms, each piece has its own unique story. I agree that the popularity of a piece reflects how much people enjoy it. I also believe that the influence of social media has significantly magnified these dynamics.
