possible to now deploy tokens with a single API call https://docs.neynar.com/reference/deploy-fungible - no gas / nonce management - no contract creation / deployment - no solidity call a REST API with the right params and it will deploy a token on with @wow factory on @base @neynar pays gas costs so the API is allowlisted right now, reach out if you want to use 🪐

Category: /farconomy Project: @clanker | cofounders me + @dish Tags: network, social, agent, coin Notes: One of the hardest things about building when no one cares is trying to make enough noise that even a few people will try your product. When many people care, one of the hardest things for me has been blocking out the noise, staying focused on our vision and goals. We built clanker to validate a thesis: memecoins belong where people post memes, agents make complicated stuff simple. We think pump clones will die, and are building a different model. v0 is a start, we are building a team, iterating around what a free to use consumer product can do for crypto, social, and the open internet. there is a lot to share about the path ahead, the entities & people involved. appreciate all the feedback and support from FC

Underrated: founder friends who are willing to call you out for not shipping fast enough. It’s easy to tell someone they’re doing a great job to avoid conflict — it’s hard to care enough to tell them they’re fucking things up. Some of the most helpful chats I’ve had are with friends who have chewed out my team for promising to release something and failing to follow through.

Current proposals to make rollups interoperable — such as Optimism’s Superchain and zkSync’s Elastic Chain — will rely on the existence of secure light clients for rollup operators to validate incoming cross-rollup messages scalably.

One of the biggest mistakes I've seen first time founders make is not sending monthly investor updates. It's easy to make excuses like "too busy" or "no major changes", but the truth is those emails help you hold yourself accountable. It doesn't matter if the update says you're struggling or pivoting or low on runway—that just gives investors the context to help you earlier instead of when it's too late. Once someone has invested, you should never be afraid of sending them regular company updates!

🎙️Weekend podcast listen recommendation: an insightful episode with Ted Seides, where he explored critical shifts in the investment industry. Some key takeaways: Evolving LP-GP Dynamics: The relationship between LPs and GPs is evolving, especially in these volatile markets. Both sides need deeper alignment and mutual understanding to ensure long-term success. The Scale of Institutional Investing: Ted sheds light on how institutional investing has grown far larger than anticipated. VCs need to be deep and strategic in balancing risk and reward, especially as blockchain, AI, and Web3 continue to scale their disruptive impact on industries. Asset Allocation’s Shifting Focus: The traditional models of asset allocation are being disrupted by innovative approaches. This offers an opportunity for VCs to rethink how they allocate capital. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/paulhsu_venturecapital-investmentstrategy-capitalallocators-activity-7248311704554467329-ffVl

i'm going through the "Actionable Gamification" book again, and it’s clear that most onchain consumer apps rely on extrinsic motivations - incentives that don’t last beyond their market cycle bonding curves, fan tokens, tipping coins, or prediction games, generate attention, but they fail to build real communities, creating only transactional relationships for users to "stay for the network" the platform must tap into the upper part, being driven by intrinsic motivations

User engagement is addiction and often emotional manipulation It doesn’t always belong in finance Money at rest is just as much a business model as money in motion

The surprising thing I believe now after coming back as CEO of YC: The size of your round doesn’t matter. Having 70 mo runway gives you a lot of shots but it doesn’t get you product market fit. The thing that matters: you must be a great builder solving a real problem.
