Who has a book collecting problem and the unread pile grows faster than you can read? This is one of those books in my pile. 'The Language of Art - An approach to a theory of symbols'. The book is a systematic inquiry into the variations of symbols; letters/words/texts, pictures, diagrams, maps and models.

I force myself to read for the first 2-3 hours of the day. I have lapses when I am near a deadline, and don't read much, but generally I maintain the habit. Reading seems to work well for me in the morning when my head is fairly fresh. I feel I have accomplished something before i do any work, that helps with the day.

I like this idea, mornings are my clearest period and have had the opposing feeling that I can't waste this time reading when I can be working, but I think there are subconscious background tasks that happen when reading so productivity isn't lost. My current reading for an hour before bed - not working 😴
