This means 1) there are certain countries we cannot provide financial services to and 2) >$600 a year requires everyone to complete a W8 / W9 if they want to continue to receive payments from us.

If you would prefer not to provide that, that’s OK. But we can’t pay you.

Same you fill in a W8, I did one one, it was simple and fast. You mention you are not a US citizen.

thanks Paul- i am not a US resident either and not ever done any US tax - I do my taxes in the UK. we don't have a W8. wouldn't even know where to start in the US....

No worries, I am also in the UK, basically there is a field on the W8 that allows you to specify that you are non-US and to give relevant details. Basically FC will send you an online form once you reach the threshold, it took me 5 mintues to complete.

Yes, I was prompted when i neared the threshold and I also recall seeing a post by @dwr.eth saying that system will continue to be applied. The process was very smooth. I am happy to keep receiving rewards.

ah ok, so if understand correctly...we will be prompted should we reach the threshold and not something we need to action if we are not doing US taxes normally. Thanks Paul, much appreciated.
