we can’t have AI healthcare without owning our health records.

and we can’t own our health records without private and secure blockchains.

I have thought about this a lot and still have not come to a clear conclusion. Would most people want ownership of their health record? It sounds like a silly question at first.

Class of 2017 I work in healthcare. Background computer science and Business. Love my family! Obsessed with Ethereum. 

I did think this would be an obvious yes at first. But then when I looked into the effects of HIgh deductible heath plans it seems like there is limited to no “shopping around” also combined with the pretty clear evidence that the majority of people don’t take their health seriously until it is too late.

Does it really matter what most ppl would want - now or in the future? I think it’s about choice & informed consent, esp if the data HAS a financial value that can be ethically extracted by the owner (the individual). AI has a role to improve the literacy / decision making / trust for how data is used .

Ppl dont care about their health records as much as their money.
