Yes crypto reduces the power of the state in favor of protocols. But power of the state isn't the goal of leftists. It's just a means to achieve leftists policy goals. These same goals could also be achieved with code, smart contracts, crypto incentives, etc.

Ok but did you see it in IMAX or Dolby Cinema? Plot was meh but visually I thought it was insanely well done. The Plemons scene shook me to my core 😂

Quiz Show is a must-watch film for me. Robert Redford masterfully explores the ethics behind a 1950s tv scandal on the show "Twenty One." The acting is also great, with Ralph Fiennes , John Turturro, Paul Scofield, and even Martin Scorsese delivering incredible performances. 4/5 Stars

My best friend, an NYU film school graduate in student debt, is trying to raise funding for his short film. As I learn more about shorts, it's clear this medium has practically 0 commercial opportunity. Which makes funding extremely difficult. The film is being supported by a non-profit which make donations eligible for a write off. Beyond that, the incentives in this space are terrible. I find it crazy that in this new era of short form video content, there's no marketplace for well produced narrative story telling. I wonder if an onchain strategy could be a solution?

Fun concept but I don't see any justifiable uses. The NFT component is -EV by creating additional dependencies. In every case I can think of, I'd prefer to just implement a swap contract that establishes some exchange rate between the token and NFT.
