Why does crypto not have more consumer apps? Because it currently does not solve many problems for consumers. Crypto has strong consumer product-market fit with speculative use cases. This is because it’s a) potential to make money quickly b) entertainment. The way to grow the number of consumers in crypto is increase the amount of entertainment in crypto apps. Consumers have unlimited demand for novel entertainment.

I completely agree. The real world is far removed from crypto, and it is very difficult to onboard new users by selling them crypto itself (most of them don’t like speculation). We should offer something else—something cool and fun!
