Vietnam and Thailand. I would've said Golden Triangle a decade ago, not anymore If going a bit more west: Northern Pakistan, Southern India

Thailand: I like Koh Samui. most of Thailand is amazing, Phuket and Phi Phi are _too touristy and busy_. Chiang Mai can get warm and I don't like the animal imprisonment but good food! Vietnam: HCMC contrasts: one is beach with great night life and other is a super busy, populous city with great food
