what's the bull and bear case for "n of 1" biomedical self experimentation a la brian johnson?

bull:
- gets more people into healthspan convo
- generates leads for larger studies/trials

bear:
- gets distracted from mission or maybe all along just wanted to build a church/cult

yeah i think the RCT de-risker / proof-of-concept is the most underappreciated aspect of n-of-1 by the trial maxi crowd

yea trial maxi makes sense before mass production but also the crowd gotta protect their ivory towers

If I were studying medicine in 2025, I’d focus on one of two areas:

1. Trauma/pre-hospital care and post-clinic exercise, nutrition, rehab

2. Advanced medicine: genomics, synthetic bio, cellular therapies, longevity

Traditional fields in the middle have less impact on health…
