what's the bull and bear case for "n of 1" biomedical self experimentation a la brian johnson?

yeah i think the RCT de-risker / proof-of-concept is the most underappreciated aspect of n-of-1 by the trial maxi crowd

bull:
- gets more people into healthspan convo
- generates leads for larger studies/trials

bear:
- gets distracted from mission or maybe all along just wanted to build a church/cult

could be true but a lot of people will need their longevity treatments conditioned on having taken the vaccine, so there's still merit

I would argue his entire experiment has been disqualified because he got the Covid mnra shot. He recently even posted a video explaining how much he regrets it.
