Today I stopped reading a book at the 31% mark on my Kindle. I wasn’t enjoying it. If I’m over 1/3 of the way through and it’s not hitting, I need to move on. I’ve always felt compelled to finish a book I’ve started but it’s my time: I get to choose how to use it. Give yourself permission to stop reading a book you aren’t enjoying.

Honestly biggest improvement in reading enjoyment is when I stopped trying to just grind my way thru boring books (I'm a completionist maxi). I can maybe think of only 1 or 2 out of the 100s where I went "huh, glad I stayed with that one to the end"
