Housing supply at a point in time is not an infinite resource. Increasing population for said housing will increase prices. Supply and Demand. … this was drafted an hour ago fyi Trump and Vance will hammer this issue the next month. # of migrants during this administration has absolutely driven up demand, especially in some regions.

That doesn't mean it's the main problem or source of high demand though and it certainly doesn't mean their anti immigrant policy would help. Unfortunately people fall for the scapegoat trick anyway.

Of course it’s more nuanced and very highly dependent on different regional factors. A contributor to high costs, more so in our area is the increase in mortgage rates, rates fit services, etc. Still think they’ll harp on this because the argument is relatively simple.
