Isn't it ridiculous how the US sanctions and blockade against Cuba still exists? The rest of the world has wanted it to end for decades and the UN has voted to end it dozens of times but the US always vetos it. One more reason why the Security Council permanent members with veto power are crippling the UN and holding the global community back from making progress.

The US having veto powers undermines the UN to the point of being useless. That’s not to say it shouldn’t exist but the powers must be removed or we will undoubtedly face global crisis
