Isn't it ridiculous how the US sanctions and blockade against Cuba still exists? The rest of the world has wanted it to end for decades and the UN has voted to end it dozens of times but the US always vetos it. One more reason why the Security Council permanent members with veto power are crippling the UN and holding the global community back from making progress.

Veto power is always undemocratic, and should not exist at all but it exists in so many systems including in many EU procedures.

I don't think anyone can say democracy and veto power is compatible with a straight face.
