For Children's Day, my nephew decided to create a "kid zoo" in the backyard. He lined up stuffed animals, gave them name tags, and charged admission (candy). It turned into a hilarious scene with him playing zookeeper, explaining each plush creature's "habits."

I think there is less contradiction between these than it might seem. We need more "return to cypherpunk roots" on some axes (eg. L2s getting to stage 1, inclusion lists, light clients...) and more UX focus on some axes (most notably, making cross-L2 more seamless).
