tried explaining farcaster to a normie and they immediately turned their attention to privacy concerns. they didn’t want their likes and follows publicly visible. what’s the current state of the conversation around this?

you can make your profiles private/only for ppl you follow on there most people only want their friends to see their activity

then farcaster is not the place, it's for about engaging with others here and with recent priority toggled by default, you'll never see anyone you're not following engaging with your posts just don't share anything sensitive

yeah, I mostly agree. I wouldn't care for such a feature on here, but it kind of depends for how many users that would be a deal breaker as it could become a problem for the growth of the protocol.

it also depends on what FC aims to achieve. If being an open twitter competitor is the main priority but this is a feature that twitter users value as @0xdesigner seems to imply, it might be a problem for everyone.
