When I was a kid I lived and went to school around a lot of people from the Caribbean and especially Jamaica. As a result this kind of had an influence on me and my family. My father after awhile actually started making Jamaican variations of the Pakistani food including jerk biryani and tandoori oxtail both of which were delicious and I think could probably have been patented at some trendy fusion restaurant today.

1/n I like well designed things. A lot of people say they like well designed things. But what does it mean for something to be well designed? I think about this a lot - I think 9 times out of 10, I just know. Well designed objects are thoughtful, I'm using it, and I feel like the person who made this thought about this idea a lot. They thought about this idea a lot and picked out something that they thought would be the best out of the many options. Also many of them have some sort of thesis, some sort of stance about the world. They are a statement in some way, about how things should be, or how things will be, and what you identify with, and you identify with that too, and that's why you feel affinity for it perhaps I love well designed things that have really throughly been could have only been made by that person, or the designer, or a certain style. It's sort of the personal part that is the most exciting to me. Yeah, but there's more...

❗Channel Moderation❗ With the upcoming change to channels happening soon, @roguehax.eth and I will be choosing moderators for the /success channel. Moderators will be responsible for: - Hiding casts that do not meet identified guidelines. - Inviting new members to the channel for ‘above the fold’ engagement. - Reviewing cast comment sections for value added replies that end up ‘below the fold’. - Answering questions and helping members have the best experience possible. We already have an anonymous team of moderators who will be given the option first. But, seeing as this job comes with more responsibility and time commitment, I wanted to give current mods the option to choose whether they continue as it will be a public position. Moderators will be rewarded by having early access to Success related alpha, a moderator only group chat, and additional rewards as we think of them. If you’re interested in being a moderator, shoot me or Roguehax a message!

Brutal chart for all Torontonians (I grew up there). The worst part is the population of the Toronto metro area grew by about 20% during this time with no significant infrastructure or transit improvements. Place is becoming unlivable.

Swearing by something is an interesting concept that we used to do more often; but we don’t as anymore. One used to swear on their mother’s grave, or their children - essentially asking God(s) to be your witness and arbiter of truth. In order to make a transaction of trust, (like a claim, a future claim) one needed to have a trusted third party they could both ideologically trust to execute the transaction, and general rules of conduct they would abide by in a way, in a world where we don’t know what to trust, you need ways to swear to third parties because that’s what helps us navigate your own world

LANDOWNER, get land! Why be a LANDOWNER? Or rather, an owner? Many worry about life in a big city, everyday problems and even safety. We are tired of the humiliating cramps, the unbearable traffic, the noisy neighbors, the horrible jobs of the big city to buy useless nonsense from the city itself, the slavery of the metropolis and its evils. Everyone here who has ever had a modicum of common sense has thought about having their own corner, their home or even their own lifelong business. Above all, of not having our own properties. Every man and woman has the right to have their own land, to be the owner of a greater and lifelong asset. Be remembered by later generations, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Above all, being able to walk or ride freely along its length. Your home is an extension of your body.
