I think the lesson that you can’t really ever be certain about anything. I think he was using dialectic to prove that point more than anything else.

He showed this with propositional knowing, in a sense dialectic (100% propositions) can blind us to the many other kinds of knowing. Philosophy became stuck in propositions. Came full circle to that conclusion in Heidegger imho, wittgenstein, others since.
