i've been begging @br1an.eth to implement token-gating for months. this would take a competent mid-level engineer about half a day to ship, but for brian, 1-2 weeks (so i understand his hesitation). tho making simple calls to an nft contract onchain is a bit over his head, i will nonetheless keep working on him 🫡

anyone who suggests we token-gate fundamentally doesn't understand live-streaming and how difficult it is to get people to show up at a specific time. adding additional constraints to entry is mid IQ.

unlonely is about creating new novel experiences that anyone can enjoy. end of story.

I get what you’re saying but I think the demand is low atm but could be a good future development. The ROI probably doesn’t make sense right now. 

/gmfarcaster wouldn’t token gate now but we are limiting our virtual meetup to holders (which won’t be streamed).
