how they think of the opportunity cost of sports injuries, bike/car accidents? if you 2x your lifespan then the cost of accidents while doing these activities is potentially also 2x in lost years. Did they change their lifestyle to accomodate for that?

apparently you can’t download any apps from the App Store but the basic functionality works. There was a review on twitter from a guy testing it with non-US appleID. Can’t find it right now unfortunately.

in financial markets making wrong predictions reduces your capital and ability to make future bets. in attention makets like social media making bold but wrong predictions has often the opposite effect. More following, engagement etc. is this something to be fixed or just a natural state of things?

His books and ideas made a huge impact on me back in the day. I have hardcover copies of “Incerto” series. The narcissism was always there in small doses but the quality of insights made it tolerable. He unfortunately deteriorated since then.

The Prop 167 (https://nouns.wtf/vote/167) seems to be contentious with many (all?) Nounders voting NO. My vote was a reluctant YES but I share the concern that 1000 ETH is a steep ask for an idea at an early stage.

I fully grok the idea of network states as online phenomena. I struggle with their transition to the physical world. The assumption is people we’re close to digitally are the same people we’d choose to live close to physically. In my experience the overlap is small at best. What am I missing?
