Should we raise, lower, or leave the fork threshold?

Wow surprised at the global support for higher. Let’s solve book/treasury arb in some other way? If a faction splits off at 10% it’s an obscure sect If a good faith faction splits off with 40% support, high chance of rolling that momentum into canonical nouns status Better lots of little blowups than one big one

Not that some fork becoming the true bearer of today’s spirit is the end of the world, but it’s good provenance hygiene to keep the original nouns on the main branch

Also if the hurdle to forking is lower, alignment stays higher. And nouns also gives birth to lots of children, which is a good evolutionary strategy when infant mortality is high

this is a good alternative line of reasoning. I think a reason many might have thins gut reaction is that there’s a psychological and narrative strain on forks happening again and again. I was kind of surprised by how much of the attention fork talk took up over the past 6 mo and kind of want it to not frequent

but appreciate the view that just making it more frequent and less deadly might be the better answer
