Actually, you probably donβt. A rat exhibiting traits for lack of fear is commonly infect with toxoplasma gondii, which is the parasite responsible for crazy cat lady and potentially linked to schizophrenia. The parasite needs rats to be fearless so that they can run out into the open and ideally be eaten by a cat where it can finish its reproductive cycle

I totally loved the depth of the (fictional) mycology sketched out in HBO series βThe Last of Usβ β¦ which they called Cordyceps, and Iβm pretty sire is based on your example of Toxoplasma Gondii. Youβre right! If fearless rat is getting his mojo from zombie fungus, no! I donβt want that!! I want natural, inner strength, fearless ratty π
