immediate turn offs (and possible blacklisting) in my book: - rude to service people and wait staff - gets road rage - midjourney- or AI-generated PFP - is "bored" with life - loves big government

The current state of service worker behavior is appalling imo. “The customer is always right” has given way to, “fuck it I’m here pay me and tip me and don’t question me” Being rude/mean isn’t a solution, but we must have standards of service and we don’t. What’s the solution?

idk, if u work for that business ur part of that business. I don‘t know why we treat people in „service jobs“ with a false pity. Isn‘t is transgressive to assume they can‘t do better and that they‘re stuck?

Politely deny tips if staff doesn't meet standards of service, or take your business elsewhere, suggesting to staff why you're leaving specifically. It can be done the way it used to be done. Somehow we forgot that our wallets hold certain kind of power too (our opinions on Google Maps as well).
