introducing: Grasscaster write only farcaster client we all know that touching grass is important. but whoever has done it knows that it sucks to not have a window to share your thoughts or whatever with our beloved network so this is how it works: > you download the app > you connect your farcaster account > you set a deadline for the touching grass (“offline”) period. let’s say 3 day > you hit “start touching grass” and the countdown starts. your pfp gets a nice grass effect and people get you are touching grass because they all know grasscaster because iykyk > during that period whenever you have an idea or picture you want to share you go and share it with the network. you cast it through the app but only that. nothing more. nothing less you won’t know what happened with all those casts until the period ends people still connect with you and you connect with them but you don’t get any notifications or feedback on what happened with your content should i build it? 👀

Content coins will work if you get people to post them with sufficient quantity and frequency. Until then, there will be a lot of push back. But the only way through is posting more. Swap "being cool" with "established coin norms" and "being cringe" with "creating more coins".

The P2P marketplace Noones was likely exploited for ~$7.9M on Ethereum, Tron, Solana, & BSC on January 1-2, 2025 as its hot wallets saw hundreds of suspicous outflows for <$7K per txn. Shortly after the platform made an announcement about maintenance although no official statement was made about any security incident. One meta belief I have, is that I think "on the face pursuing idealistic objective A, but actually being tilted toward selfish objective B" is better than "openly pursuing objective B". Many seem to believe the opposite, typically saying something like "at least the latter is honest". I feel like what this misses, is that maintaining the face of pursuing idealistic objective A, and using A to coordinate a large coalition, is a pretty big speed bump against attempts to pursue B too brazenly. When "the mask comes off", things actually become much worse, and strategies that pursue B at high costs to other values (including A, and also often general human decency) become unlocked. Are there any good arguments against this intuition I have? (Whether generalized, or about specific situations)
