What if we did a sort of secret santa where we each pick someone else's project out of a hat and we spend a week casting about it instead of about our own thing

Another way to do this is everyone commit to back one project a week at a time and push it on all the socials 

A group of us did something similar in a group chat when I needed a vote to get on mirrorxyz. We put all of our votes in for one each cycle. It was super effective and efficient
