if one is not willing to enter the public arena, they should make a private dao. social influence, variance in delegation protocol, and economic pressure are all ways to achieve this.

Idk about that. Imagine an argument like, “if you’re not willing to face assassination attempts you shouldn’t run for local office” Like, clearly this is a two sided thing and one side is the good norms of dao participation

i believe that players knowingly opted into pure chaos where code is law. if a nonprofit is not fortified against time, like a church castle, then it is inevitably going to seize function and means little on the long horizon. the law should be applied outside the game, i.e. hostage taking. social defense is one moat
