Something crypto has normalized that still blows my mind: people gifting each other assets worth (tens of) thousands of dollars. It’s not uncommon for internet friends to send each other NFTs “just because” that have standing offers of 5 ETH. This is pure magic.

It's not really magic. If they sold then it would change the floor price, but somehow they have to increase attention and endowment effect. The best way to do this is either to wash trade or to airdrop
